Having defeated her last three opponents in a combined time of 64 seconds, UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey has chosen to go back in time for her next match.

“It’s always been my goal to defeat my opponent before the match begins,” Rousey said.

University of Cambridge physicist and author of the bestselling book, A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking, has agreed to help. “If we can recreate the environment of a single wormhole within the MMA ring,” Hawking said, “then I believe Ronda can have her opponent in a submission hold before the first bell.”

Pay per view sales have been disappointing until now because many fans have realized that by the time the match begins there will be nothing left to see. But Rousey thinks the chance to win in negative time is an opportunity she can’t pass up.

“Who knows? Maybe I’ve beaten her already,” Rousey said.
