Chicago – Shopper Judy Klingman enjoys reading supermarket tabloids regularly. But there’s one recurring story that irks her to no end. “It seems like every couple of months, I read that Kirstie Alley has lost an another 50 lbs. The math just doesn’t make sense. I mean, shouldn’t she have disappeared by now?”

Judy is not alone. Others have taken notice of this seemingly impossible phenomenon. Fran Dolen has been reading the Enquirer for 30 years and takes most stories to be true. But the Kirstie Alley story? “Something’s fishy. You don’t just lose 50 lbs after 50lbs. I mean, you’d have to weight 600 pounds. Even then, you’ve only got twelve 50 lb weight losses in you.”

“I did the research,” says Shequandra Russell. “Between December 2010 and February 2014, Kirstie Alley lost 1200 pounds. Damn! How does someone get to be 1200 lbs? Doesn’t she pass her food?”

Our attempts to verify weight loss totals with Ms Alley were unsuccessful. But if history is any indicator, she is likely in the midst of losing an additional 50 lbs.
