Hollywood starlets, runway models and soccer moms have all caught onto the latest way to lose weight: less food and more exercise.

“It may seem counterintuitive to eat less and exercise more in order to lose weight,” said Dr. Alberghetti Grenadier, who has a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University. “But so far the results have been encouraging.”

Though other methods to lose weight, such as pills, waist bands and surgeries have proved successful, many in the diet industry believe they may be onto something with this new method.

“The problem with this new way is there’s nothing to sell and no money to be made,” Dr. Grenadier said, then added, “but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing.”
